I’m an aspiring UX researcher and designer with a background in Computer Science. I specialize in creating accessible, user-centered products that are thoroughly tested and through through. My experience spans academic bioinformatics/UX research, freelance web design, and IT and Communications work for non-profits. I have experience ranging fromthings like building responsive and dynamic websites to mixed methods UX research studies. My goals is to bridgetechnical development with human-centered design, to turn ideas into engaging, functional, and accessible products.

Undergraduate Researcher
Led UX research and interface design for a dual RNA-sequencing web application (ViBe-DRS) designed for interdisciplinary users, including biologists and medical researchers.
Conducted usability testing with 7+ users, surveys, user interviews, and heuristic evaluations to identify usability issues during multiple iterations of ViBe-DRS. Collaborated with users from a partner research group at a medical school to validate design decisions and ensure usability
Synthesized feedback into design requirements, resulting in improved navigation, readability, clarity, understanding, and overall task success for users of varying technical skill levels.
Presented research findings at conferences, published 2 extended abstracts, received 2nd Place Undergraduate Researcher at the CCSC:SE conference.
